Dublin #12 - Fashion Faux Pas
Thu, 05 Jun
|The Sugar Club
Undressing the truth beyond the catwalk and what it takes for change. From fast to slow fashion, novel materials and closed loops systems, what will it take to shift the fashion industry behemoth, and who is leading the change in Ireland?

Time & Location
05 Jun 2025, 18:45 – 22:45
The Sugar Club, 8 Leeson Street Lower, Saint Kevin's, Dublin, D02 ET97, Ireland
About the event
The fashion industry is one of the largest contributors to climate change and nature loss, responsible for vast carbon emissions, water pollution, and textile waste. Fast fashion’s take-make-waste model fuels deforestation, microplastic pollution, and exploitative supply chains. To drive change, we need a global shift towards circular design, slow fashion, and regenerative materials. In Ireland, pioneers are championing sustainable textiles, ethical production, and closed-loop systems. The future of fashion must prioritise climate, nature and communities, alongside radical transparency and innovation that support consumers in making positive purchase and lifestyle decisions.
Join us for an evening of inspirational speakers, art, culture, science, cocktails and more. Full agenda and line-up to be announced very shortly.
